Welcome
Your journey on ACCA Financial Reporting begins with the tuition, or learning, phase. In total, the learning phase of your ACCA Financial Reporting course requires a minimum of 50 hours’ work. In each chapter of the online course, we indicate the minimum study time required. This is a guide as to the minimum time you should spend on each chapter. Many of you will need longer, as there will be a need to pause recordings to go recap things, as well as a need to rework questions that you did not get right the first time. Recapping is a vital part of the learning process.
You also need time for revision.
Attempt your mock exams under timed conditions. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. You must try the Exam, even if you do not feel ready. It is an important opportunity to gauge your progress before moving onto the next phase. Evidence shows a large correlation between students who submit exams and those who
pass. This is regardless of whether they pass the exam submitted, so you should still attempt this exam even if you do not yet feel “exam ready”. You will then be able to see your progress when you attempt the other mocks. There is much to be gained in practicing questions to time: the only way to improve exam technique is to practice exams under timed conditions and learn from making mistakes.
